1964 Geboren in Nottingham, England. Aufgewachsen in Chesterfield.

1969 Nahm erste Klavierstunden.

1975 Aufnahme im Internat bei Chetham's School of Music, Manchester. Akademischen Ausbildung mit Schwerpunkt auf klassische Musik, Therorie etc. Spielte Jazz, Popsongs etc. heimlich!! Trat in Pubs und Clubs auf - auch heimlich!!

1981 Verlies Chetham's und zog nach London. Ausbildung als Bühnentechniker (Licht), spielte weiterhin in Pubs und Clubs.

1982 Rückkehr nach Manchester, jetzt als Profimusiker. Machte schnell seine Name als Jazz-und Pop Musiker.

1983 - 1989 Auftritte mit zahreichen Bands und als Solo-Entertainer in der Schweiz, Deutschland, Spanien (3 Summer-Seasons '84 bis '86 Soloshow für britischen Touristen), und ab und zu England. 1988 besuchte er Freiburg und wurde dort sofort von Freiburger Jazzhaus engagiert. Umzug nach Deutschland?

1989 In Freiburg glücklich zuhause. Bekam schnell Angebote von regionalen sowie nationalen Bands und als Solist beim Konzerte und Festivals.

1989 - ? Spielt mit Bands in ganz Europa, auf Bühnen aller Grössen sowie im Radio und Fernsehen. Wird oft für CD Produktionen geholt. Gründet 1992 mit Drummer Simon Palser das Duo Simon & Simon, wird auch in die wohl etablierten Tanz und Showband Billy's Oldies but Goldies einbezogen. Dazu Auftritte mit Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Rock & Pop Formationen. Kurz vor Millenium übernimmt Simon Oldies but Goldies, nach etwas Umwandelung führt er diese als Simon Holliday & Band weiter. 2001 lernt er seinen Cousin Noel Stevens kennen, seitdem arbeiten die Beiden häufig zusammen. 2006 ergänzt er sein Angebot mit der Simon Holliday Gala Band. Dieser Ausnahmemusiker wird von vielen Gruppen aller Art häufig angefragt, und kann auf zahlreichen Aufnahmen gehört werden. The show goes on...

1975 Enrolled as a boarder at Chetham's School of Music, Manchester. Received an academic education with heavy emphasis on classical music and theory. Secretly, he played jazz and pop songs etc and appeared in pubs and clubs - also on the quiet!

1981 Left Chetham's and moved to London. Trained as a stage lighting engineer while still performing in pubs and clubs.

1982 Now a professional musician; Simon returned to Manchester, and quickly made a name for himself amongst jazz and pop musicians.

1983 - 1989 Appeared with several bands and as a soloist in Switzerland, Germany, Spain (3 summer seasons '84 to '86 - solo cabaret for British tourists), and, occasionally, England. In 1988, he visited Freiburg, and was immediately booked to appear at the Jazzhaus. Possible move to Germany?

1989 Happily settled in Freiburg. Offers quickly came in from regionally and nationally known bands, as well as for solo appearances at concerts and festivals.

1989 - ? Played with bands throughout Europe in all manner of settings, as well as radio and television work. Frequently hired for CD productions. In 1992 he formed the duo Simon & Simon together with drummer Simon Palser, and joined the well-established dance and show-band Billy's Oldies but Goldies, while at the same time continuing to appear with jazz, blues, gospel and rock & pop formations. Just before the millenium, Simon took over Oldies but Goldies, and after a few changes, continues to lead what is now Simon Holliday & Band. In 2001, Simon got to know his cousin Noel Stevens, and since then they frequently work together. In 2006, he expanded his "stable" and formed the Simon Holliday Gala Band. This exceptional musician is in constant demand from all sorts of bands, and can be heard on several recordings. The show goes on...
